Is competition necessary in the learning process?


Objective eLearning program encourages the promotion of digital literacy; the strengthening of virtual campuses; the improvement of tools and methodologies related to e-learning; among organizations and faculties in the educational and training systems.
ELearning is the program for education and training which promotes the inclusion of all learning systems and environments (formal, non-formal, informal – school, higher and adult education and training).
The program builds with the vision that integrates education in all levels for a change and an opportunity for increased quality, diversity and effectiveness in global education and training systems.
The program is divided in 4 key areas with specific objectives
Digital Literacy
The aim is to promote digital literacy globally and thereby contribute to strengthening social cohesion, personal development, intercultural dialogue, and active learning. The intention is to encourage the acquisition of new skills and knowledge that are needed for personal and professional development and for active participation in an information-driven society.
Special attention is given to the contribution to learning, especially for those who, due to their geographical location, socio-economic situation or special needs, do not have easy access to traditional education and training.
Virtual Campuses
The purpose is to add a virtual dimension to the World in higher education by encouraging the development of new organizational models for virtual campuses and for exchange and sharing knowledge through virtual mobility. This action builds on existing co-operation frameworks giving them an e-learning component.
The objective is to strengthen and develop networking among schools other institutes. All young students, during their time at school, should have the opportunity to participate, together with their teachers, in an educational project with their counterparts in other schools of countries. The action seeks to improve the quality and the quantity of exchange of experiences through e-cooperation.
Transversal Applications
The goal is to exploit the potential of e-learning by promoting innovation in teaching methods with a view to improving the quality of the learning process and fostering the autonomy of learners. The action promotes best practice, products and services in digital learning activities.

Who can participate?

Digital Literacy, Virtual Campuses and Transversal Actions: Organizations from the public and private sectors that have interest, expertise and experience in e-learning matters concerning any of the subjects listed above. ETutoring project can be carried out by one or more teachers, teams of teachers or subject departments, librarians, principals and pupils from schools across the World. Collaboration can be within the same subject or cross-curricular through the use of Information Technology. Pre-school, primary, secondary and upper secondary schools and all institutes can participate.
